Beatles legend Paul McCartney has announced he's bringing his Got Back tour to six Australian cities in 2023.

The 81-year-old will begin the tour in Adelaide where The Beatles made history in 1964 during their first visit to Australia.
His return down under after six years includes his first shows in the Gold Coast and Newcastle.
"I've got so many amazing memories of my time in Australia over the years," McCartney said.
"Our last trip was so much fun. We had such an incredible time. Each show was a party, so we know this is going to be incredibly special. Australia we are going to rock! I can't wait to see you."

The 18-time Grammy winner has been on the Got Back tour since February 2022 and included a set at Glastonbury music festival.
His shows will feature a blend of solo, Wings and Beatles hits spanning 60 years of music, from Hey Jude and Let It Be, to Live and Let Die and Band on the Run.

General tickets are available on August 11 with timings depending on the city as below.
- Sydney: 10am AEST
- Brisbane: 12pm AEST
- Adelaide: 1:30pm ACST
- Newcastle: 3pm AEST
- Gold Coast: 3pm AEST
- Melbourne: 4pm AEST
