The regular Sunday session was a washout so the dedicated crew decided on a Wednesday morning catch up session.
The haul of weeds filled two of Council's green bins and made a big dent in the population on Big Nobby headland.

There is more to go but knocking the numbers on the head now sets the group up for less work in 2022.
The group can reflect on some great success over the year with weed ridden areas now carpets of kangaroo grass interspersed with native shrubs, wildflowers and vines.
Unfortunately a downside of this creation of beautiful spaces is the access by people into previously inaccessible areas.
The remnants of some party's carton of beer, nibbles and dips were strewn throughout an area recently admired by the group as one of the most successful rehabilitation's they had done.

The group will have a recess until February 2022 and take up the challenge of maintaining the headland in a state the community can be proud of.
The weeding is quite simple and more volunteers are always welcome. Please call Graeme on 0424 656 479 for further information.
