The residents and staff enjoyed a cake for morning tea, a happy birthday song, and a home-cooked barbecue for lunch.
Kate (Kit) Wickham, a founding board member of the Macleay Senior Citizens Home Inc, known as Cedar Place, and current resident of the facility was more than happy to join in on the festivities.
As a board member, she worked continuously to help with the construction of Cedar Place through fundraising on many stalls around the Kempsey Shire.

The facility later opened in November 1991.
Cedar Place holds a special place in her heart as she played a large part in fundraising to build the home.
After 37 years living in Tozer Street Kempsey, Kate moved into Cedar Place at the age of 98.
Earlier this year, she celebrated her 100th birthday in the facility she helped build.
