A splendid day at Warwick Park, Kempsey, saw a mighty track record fall as Jenny Graham's Schiller Bay stormed home to win the Steve Keir Memorial.

The four-year-old gelding won by two and a half lengths to dominate the field with first prize worth $16,200.
The race, run at 1000m, previously held a track record of 57.08, with Schiller Bay finishing in 57.04.

"He's got a lot of ability this horse, with the speed and tempo of the race today it really suited him to show that turn of foot," Graham told the Argus.
"He sat just off the base and from the 600 metres picked up."
The Steve Keir Memorial trophy is a special event for all trainers across the Mid North Coast with Graham delighted to win.
"It's great (to win the memorial), to keep that family theme going for the Keir family," Graham said.
"I mentioned to Steve (jnr) it's great they keep moving forward with it, keep the trophies coming, everyone really appreciates it."
The win was Graham's second of the day with Inspiration victorious in Race 2.
Schiller Bay's victory also makes it three wins out of his last six starts.
