Bronnie Taylor was elected as deputy Nationals leader unopposed.
Melinda Pavey released a statement on her Facebook page earlier.
"Today the NSW Nationals party room has elected their new leader," she said.
"Congratulations to my colleague Paul Toole who will continue to do good work across the state.
"I want to thank everyone who has supported me over the last few days.
"The grassroots and community feedback I have received is overwhelming and humbling.
"I will continue to represent and fight for our region and all our regional communities with the passion and determination you all deserve.
"We still have many issues in front of us, and I intend to make sure they're front and centre at Macquarie Street."
