The Practice Institute Australia in conjunction with Restorative Journeys will deliver Restorative Practices Training on July 14-16 at the Kempsey Police Citizens Youth Club.
The Restorative Practices Training, described as "vital when dealing with our youth," is for anyone working with young people in any capacity.
Restorative Practices assists with encouraging self-reflection, creating a space to be heard and challenging negative behaviour with regards to its impact on others.
The organisers say Restorative Practices will enhance family engagement in social services, increase the capacity to build and maintain healthy relationships, reduce recidivism in juvenile and criminal justice and improve workplace culture and increase staff engagement.
A past attendee said of the program: "Go for it! It was excellent and will help you hugely in your own personal and professional life. Do not miss the opportunity to do this training."
