Frankie King was born at 2.30am on Saturday, January 2 to first-time parents Rebecca McPherson and James King from South West Rocks.
Weighing 6 pounds and 13 ounces and measuring 50.5cm long, Frankie is the granddaughter for Glynis and Stephen King and Cary and Graeme McPherson.
Following a complicated pregnancy, proud mum Rebecca said little Frankie was ready to be out in the world.
"She really flew into the world. I was in active labour for four hours and she was in a hurry," Rebecca said.
"I had a complicated pregnancy and the doctors were saying that I would have to have a c-section but in the end, about two weeks before her birth, I was told I would be able to have a natural birth at Kempsey Hospital which is what I really wanted."
"I can remember saying that I was going to have a smooth birth and it did end up going that way."
Rebecca and James have been adapting to being parents since their daughter's birth. Rebecca said Frankie is a perfect newborn who is adored by her parents and grandparents.
"She's a really chill baby, she's just perfect. She sleeps really well and likes the pram, she's just a dream."
"My friends have said that we're in the love bubble and we really are."
