The Bureau of Meteorology are predicting heavy rain and thunderstorms across the Mid North Coast with the possibility of flash flooding in localised areas.
Quick Storm Safe Tips
- Clean gutters
- Trim trees and branches around your property
- Tidy up your backyard, trampolines and shade shelters often get blown around
- Stay away from windows during a storm as debris can fly around and hit windows
There is a chance that some rivers may get to a minor flood level, especially with Spring tides forecast for early next week.
NSW SES Deputy Zone Commander Tony Day urges residents to prepare their homes.
"Bring in or secure any outdoor items in the yard or on the balcony, check your gutters are clear and your roof is in good condition, trim any overhanging branches and take care when travelling in poor weather conditions," he said.

"Residents and visitors need to take care when driving in wet weather on the local roads and especially if you are driving in upper catchment areas where low lying causeways overflow, never drive, ride or walk through floodwater as this is the main cause of death during floods.
"It's important that drivers slow down as roads may have trees, branches and debris covering them."
The NSW SES and Bureau of Meteorology are continuing to monitor the weather system closely.
