The Seabreeze Beach Hotel Fishing Club at South West Rocks has restarted its monthly fishing competitions after a long hiatus due to COVID-19 restrictions.

Although there were only 36 entries on December 5 and 6, the group still managed to reel in an impressive amount of fish, with 42 kilograms weighed in from the beach, rock estuary and outside categories.
Geoff Gardiner cleaned up in the outside section, with a Pearl Perch weighing 590gm, a Snapper weighing 2.7 kilograms and a Venus Tusk Fish weighing 1.955 kilograms. Geoff also won Outside Angler of the Month with six species.
Inside winners were:
- Bream - senior - Damien Ashley, 370 gm. Lady - Sandra Wantuch, 470 gm.
- Dusky Flathead - senior - Michael Faint, 1.280 kilograms
- Whiting - senior - Damien Ashley 225 gm.
Largest other was a Mulloway weighing 14.31 kilograms weighed in by Sandra Wantuch.

Damien Ashley was awarded Inside Angler of the Month with eight species.
The next monthly Seabreeze Beach Hotel Fishing Club competition is set for January 2 and 3, 2021, while the annual Huge Fishing Competition will be on the weekend of January 16 and 17.
