Players were out in force last Saturday at the Kempsey Golf Club for the staging of the 2019-20 Gold medal playoff for the golfers who had won the monthly medals over the past 12 months.

With this prestigious event being held at the club the course was in tip top condition and a big thank you goes to our green keeper Graham and his team for a wonderful job on the course.
With the 18 hole stroke event came the monthly medals as it was the first Saturday of the month with the day sponsored by George Hill Painting.

The three winners of the 2019-20 gold medals all stepped up on the day and recorded some very good scores with Conrad Tamblyn having a net score of 69 to claim the gold in the top grade and in the 'b' grade Chris Edmonds continued his fine form to record a net 68 for the victory, while Graeme Hall after only winning his monthly medal in October came out on Saturday and had a net 70 to claim the 'c' grade gold.
Congratulations goes to all 3 players on claiming this year's gold medals.
In the stroke event on Saturday there was a field of 81 players and taking out the top grade and the medal for November was Conrad Tamblyn with his net 69 and the runner up was Richard Campbell snr with a net score of 71.
Chris Edmonds also made it a double on the day with his net score of 68 the best in 'b' grade while it was Bryce Widdison as the runner up player with a net 71.
The 'c' winner was Graeme Hall with a net score of 70 and the runner up was Jeremy Lipscombe with a net 72.
The three winners of the medals for November will now go into the playoff for the gold next November 2021.
In the gross event on Saturday former club champion Ian Rudd was best in 'a' grade with a round of 74 and in the 'b' grade Edmonds was best with his round of 86 while Hall with 91 won the 'c' grade.
The weekly super tee ntp on the 18th hole was won by Peter Townsend and the weekly ball competition winners can collect there balls and unclaimed vouchers from the event and the winners of the ntp's on Saturday can also collect them from the pro shop at the club anytime.

Saturday at the club the members and visitors will play in the 2020 Peter Steffensen 18 hole Single Stableford event and all intending players wishing to play can book in now at the club or go online to book in for your round and all players are reminded to obey the COVID19 rules at the club at all times.
