The 6yo gelding is among the favourites for this year's big race that carries a total of $7,750,000 in prize-money.

Throughout the Crescent Head Country Club today the ladies were dressed in some wonderful outfits whilst some of the men pulled out their go to blazer and button up. Those that chose not to wear their button up were simply in their Tuesday best.
In the dining and outside area, some punters were backing Chestnut gelding Finche whilst others were considering Prince of Arran.
In the TAB area, Surprise Baby came out as clear favourite for the club with an array of punters backing last year's fifth placed finisher.
Throughout both areas of the club it seems Prince of Arran is everyone's back-up tip with the eight year old gelding placing in the last two Melbourne Cups.
However, not everyone was getting to carried away with today's proceedings in the knowledge the real race that stops the nation, the Kempsey Cup, is this Friday.
