Mid North Coast Police District Commander Shane Cribb says there will be no more warnings for people if they breach COVID-19 health regulations.

NSW Police is taking a proactive approach to ensure businesses and members of the community comply with COVID-19 restrictions and minimise the risk of community spread.
"We are supporting NSW Health with the enforcement of the Public Health Orders," Supt Cribb said.
Police are anticipating an influx of visitors to the area in the lead up to the spring school holidays on Monday, September 28.
A team of police officers from the Mid North Coast Police District will work with other stakeholders to provide a proactive approach in preventing the spread of COVID-19.
"We encourage people to come to the Mid North Coast but we ask they comply with the COVID-19 health regulations," Supt Cribb said.
During the holidays police officers will actively patrol areas where people are known to gather including beaches, parks, restaurants and premises.
Supt Cribb said NSW Police are concerned the amount of outdoor gatherings will increase in conjunction with the warmer weather months.
"It should also be a concern for the community on the Mid North Coast," he said.
"The days of giving warnings are now over and police will be taking enforcement action for those people who want to breach the NSW Health orders."
Supt Cribb commended 99 per cent of people who he said comply with the current health regulations.
"Unfortunately you still get people who want to test the waters and be discreet to get away with things," he said.
Supt Cribb said police resources haven't been taken away from fighting other areas of crime during the coronavirus pandemic.
"I have to deal with that balance," he said.
"I can assure you if the criminals out there think this is a time where they can build on the vulnerable area because of COVID-19, they can think again."
Residents are assisting the police response by reporting members of the community or businesses who they believe aren't abiding by the restrictions.
