Macleay Netball Association will be hitting the courts this weekend with a very special cause in mind, collecting donations for Asthma Australia in remembrance of Michelle McKean-Larkins.

Sadly Michelle tragically passed away last year on September 7th and was apart of the MNA and Saints Comets Netball Club.
Michelle is survived by her husband Darren, children Anna-Renae, Kalinda and Zach.
The MNA will be holding a minute silence at approximately 1pm on Saturday to remember Michelle.
"Michelle is so sadly missed by her club Saints Comets and all of us in the MNA 12 months on and we would like to ask everyone to remember her this Saturday when we all take to the courts," MNA said in a statement on their Facebook.
"We would like Darren and the children to know that we are all still here for them and we will continue to be and will always remember Michelle for the wonderful person she was and how much she contributed, helped and dedicated herself to the Macleay Netball Association and Saints Comets Netball Club."
All players are encouraged to wear purple ribbons, socks, hairspray or anything else purple as part of Asthma Week that runs from September 1 to September 7.
Donation buckets will be going around the courts on Saturday and placed at the canteen with everyone encouraged to donate a gold coin or any spare money.
All funds raised will be donated to Asthma Australia.
According to Asthma Australia, 11% of the population have asthma to some degree, equating to 2.7 million people.
