Police have charged a teenage boy after riding in a dangerous manner along a Mid North Coast beach.

Police will allege the 16-year-old was riding an unregistered and uninsured trail bike in a dangerous manner on Back Beach at South West Rocks on Monday August 17.
An off-duty officer observed the behaviour and contacted officers at the Mid North Coast Police District.
Police attended the location a short time later before the young person conducted a U-turn on the trail bike and fled from police.
At this time, an unknown person was flung from the trail bike before they ran into nearby bushland.
A short time later, the off-duty senior constable was in the South West Rocks town when he observed the trail bike and placed the teenage boy under arrest.
Officers from Mid North Coast Police District arrived a short time later to effect the arrest.
The teenager has since been issued with Penalty Infringement Notices for the offences of unregistered, uninsured and unlicensed riding, and allowing a pillion passenger without helmet.
He was also issued with a Future Service Court Attendance Notice for the offence of ride in a manner dangerous, he's due to face a children's court in October.
