Residents given the chance to win a brand new car by shopping locally

This is the second time the store has held a Christmas car giveaway, and manager Matt Buckley said it seemed like the perfect time to give back to the community.

"We've been busy over the past few months and locals have stepped up and supported us and we just wanted to do something for them," he said.

"The store stayed open during restrictions, so we were quite lucky but foot traffic did slow down during the height of the lockdown. It's been great to see people shopping locally though.

"Customer numbers have increased over the past few weeks, which has really made business pick back up again," Matt said.

To enter the giveaway, locals must spend $20 in Futures Fine Furniture & Bedding or any of the other participating stores in Centrepoint Arcade to receive one entry. There is a limit of 10 entries per purchase.

"People are already coming in and talking about it. It's a great chance for a local to win a brand new car," Matt said.

One lucky customer will be drawn on December 4 at 1pm during a live stream at the store and will be driving away in a Kia Picanto GT Automatic valued at $17,800.

"It's really worth it to spend the $20 and have a chance at winning a car," Matt said.

"This is just our way of being able to thank the community for their support and give back."
