Rangers coach Emma Tamblyn netted a brace whilst Heidi Tamblyn, Deni Anderson, Alyce Morn and Serenity Clancy also found themselves on the score-sheet as the game ended at 6-1.

Despite a convincing win, the Rangers coach wasn't pleased with her sides performance.

"There wasn't much to write home about but we still managed to hit goals into the back of the net," Tamblyn told the Argus.

"It was an incredibly frustrating match but a win's a win.

"Positives from the game were that our combination play was to a good standard and our passing was accurate."

Tamblyn was offering little excuses for the match but admitted it's a great sign for her team to score six goals despite a sub-standard showing.

"We're probably used to being a bit more free-flowing with larger fields so playing on a smaller field made a difference but I'm not making any excuses," she said.

By conceding one goal, Rangers ended their record of clean sheets but maintain top spot with a superior 44 goal difference.

Port United sit in equal first on 12 points however their goal difference reads at 42.

In other Women's Northern League action, the Upper Macleay Yowies moved into third place after a 2-0 win against South West Rocks Stingers.

Meanwhile, the Lower Macleay Brumbies are still on the search for their first win after a loss to Wauchope Cedars.
