Infrastructure projects across the Macleay have received $823,000 in funding through the NSW Government's Stronger Country Communities Fund.

The Member for Oxley, Melinda Pavey MP made the announcement today.
Kempsey Shire Council secured NSW Government funding for three projects; Gladstone Hall and Art Gallery refurbishment, Willawarrin Playground and Picnic Area upgrade, and Smithtown Nestle Park amenities building replacement.
"The Gladstone Hall and Art Gallery will receive $124,678 for significant internal and external repairs," Mrs Pavey said.
"The aged and fire-damaged amenities at Smithtown's Nestle Park will be upgraded with a $202,150 grant and Willawarrin's playground and picnic area has been allocated $112,508 for facility improvements."
The other major project beneficiaries announced today are:
- Macleay Option's Youth Stockcamp initiative ($183,721). The Stockcamp program provides local youth a place to learn farmwork and life skills
- Kempsey Neighbourhood Centre ($100,000). The funding will support young Aboriginal people to obtain and maintain a driver's licence
- Crescent Head Country Club ($100,000). The grant will help fund a new family-friendly leisure space, including a 15-hole mini golf course.
Deputy Premier and Minister for Regional NSW John Barilaro said $100 million was being distributed across regional NSW, with regional communities set to benefit from more than 550 new projects.
