The table from Data.NSW shows confirmed cases by postcode. The Macleay Valley's postcodes 2440 and 2431 each have two confirmed cases.
The data is for confirmed COVID-19 cases based only on location of usual residence and not necessarily where the virus was contracted.
The case definition of a confirmed case is a person who tests positive to a validated specific SARS-CoV-2 nucleic acid test or has the virus identified by electron microscopy or viral culture, at a reference laboratory.
NSW Health has been releasing daily figures by LGA's and has shown Kempsey as having between one and four cases.
The data from April 1 shows two cases for the Nambucca Shire (postcodes of 2447 and 2448) and one in Bellingen (postcode 2454).
