Held on their home turf at South West Rocks, the two-day event was converted to a shorter one day format with water only events after initially being postponed due to poor weather.
"The Branch Championships were a very successful carnival for both our club and Surf Life Saving," SWRSLSC Director of Marketing and Communications, Grahame Ball said.
"The conditions ended up being great, the water cleared up and we had a one-metre swell running through."
The full South West Rocks team consisted of juniors Jack Ball, Jess Cole, Joe Cole, Matt Farley, Ruby McLeod, Sophie Smailes and representing in the masters was Steve Smailes.
"We had several first-timers which was good to see, Jess Cole, Joe Cole, Matt Farley all did very well," Ball said.
"Steve Smailes backed up from the Country Championships winning a silver medal in the 30-39 years swim."
"The club won some medals and came away with more knowledge and experience for future events."
Joining the staunch competitors was also a committed group of club members, many of whom have lifetime memberships with the SWRSLSC.
"It was great to see so many of our members there to help with the work party set up, pack up, water safety, patrol and barbecue," Ball said.
"Several of our Life Members were there as well; they have been doing this season after season for decades, including Tony Hayes OAM, Bruce Caldwell, Anne Pearce, who celebrated a birthday at the carnival, and Mick Adams."
South West Rocks will next host round 3 of the Surf Life Saving New South Wales IRB series on Saturday, May 30 and Sunday, May 31.
