Riedell Jeffs said the Thank Our Firefighters Day drew a large crowd on Sunday, January 26.
She said the fun day was an opportunity for people to come together and say thank you to the firefighters who worked on the frontline, as well as the volunteers who worked tirelessly behind the scenes.
Riedell said people travelled from Hat Head and Aldavilla to support the event.
"It was awesome to see so many people go out of their way to say thank you," she said.

In the recent bushfire crisis, Riedell said the club was nearly lost to fire, while some firefighters lost their homes while defending others.
The event offered an opportunity for people to have some fun and raise money to give back to the people who worked so hard during the crisis.
Riedell thanked the small and big businesses who donated prizes. She said many businesses are struggling but continue to do what they can to support their local community.
"Without the help of those people, this fundraiser wouldn't have happened," she said.
Riedell hopes the funds raised from the event will help local firefighters purchase some much-needed equipment.

"It's the least we could do for them," she said.
Riedell thanked everyone who donated goods, their time and all the attendees who turned up to support the event.
"There are no words to express how grateful we are," she said.
