Each year, for the past 41 years, the family has packed up camper vans, trailers and boats and headed up to the Mid North Coast to holiday.
"This year, the younger generation, with the help of their families, held a fair to raise money for the Rural Fire Service at Yarrahapinni/Stuarts Point," Shardai Jimenez said on behalf of the campers.
"The fair included a sweets and treats stand, sausage sizzle, lemonade stand, massage stand, beauty stand, games, competitions, raffles and more. We were even lucky enough to be paid a short visit by Yarrahapinni/Stuarts Point fire truck.
"The Rural Fire Service at Yarrahapinni/Stuarts Point is comprised of individuals from small communities along the Mid North Coast, who generously volunteer their time to fighting fires Australia wide.
"As we sit and helplessly watch our country experience one of the most devastating fire seasons yet, we found some comfort in coming together as a family and raising approximately $2100 for those working tirelessly on the front line.
"Our family would like to take this opportunity to thank all of our firefighters, Australia wide, for their strength, courage and service during this devastating time."
