The local volunteers are from both Kempsey and Nambucca Heads.
The conditions are making the fire effort very difficult for firefighters, with Saturday predicted to bring extreme weather to the south coast of the state.
RFS Lower North Coast Zone Superintendent Lachlann Ison said the local strike team will be deployed from Newcastle further south over next three days.
"The six vehicles will depart Kempsey for Newcastle where they will spend the night. The expectation is that they will be pre-deployed to the Newcastle area for one to three days, with crews from Newcastle being pre-deployed further south," he said.
"Staff member Christian Yanni is also heading south this afternoon and will arrive in Moruya tomorrow morning, he will be there for three to five days."
Overall, three strike teams from the Mid North Coast have been deployed to assist in fighting the blazes.
A statewide Total Fire Ban has been declared for today, Friday January 3 and Saturday January 4, due to the forecast hot and windy conditions.
The following week for Kempsey will see warm temperatures for the region. Saturday is predicted to reach 35 degrees while Sunday and Monday are expected to reach 33 and 31 degrees, according to Weatherzone.
Residents are reminded that no fires may be lit in the open and all fire permits are suspended during a Total Fire Ban.
The Total Fire Ban covers all New South Wales Local Government Areas.
