A Big Day Out festival-style event at Riverside Park is scheduled for December 3, while a Glitz and Glamour Ball is on at the Slim Dusty Centre in South Kempsey on December 7. Both events are not for profit and any money raised will go towards future disability events.
"The Big Day Out is on from 10 am to 2 pm, there will be fun activities for people of all abilities, a jumping castle, face painting and a free barbecue, everyone is welcome," Lisa said.
"Disability service providers and other organisations will also have information stalls about what they offer; we are looking at getting an obstacle course as well.
Kempsey Shire Council is proud to be leading these events as part of our disability action plan and support community coming together to celebrate International Day of People with a Disability.

"The Glitz and Glamour Ball is on from 6 pm to 11 pm at the Slim Dusty Centre in South Kempsey; everyone should get their tickets soon because they will sell out fast."
Tickets for the ball can be purchased from Key Employment, who are the principal sponsor, the Kempsey Shire Council customer service desk, and online at http://idpwd19.eventbrite.com.
Ticket prices are $70 or $35 for healthcare and pension cardholders, they are on sale until November 30. There is a strict age limit of 18 years and over for the ball because there will be alcohol present at the event.
"The Glitz and Glamour Ball includes a three-course meal and a drink," Adelle said.
"Entertainment for the night will be provided by Terry's entertainment, Amos Morris is MC and will perform, along with talented singer and actor, Belinda Mahony.
"Belinda was born with an extremely rare chromosome abnormality known to affect only a handful of people in the world.
"She has become an accomplished corporate and community entertainer, performing alongside James Morrison, the Ten Tenors and at the Special Olympics.
"There will also be Inspirational stories from people in the community with a disability that have achieved great things."
It has been several years since an event like this was held in the Macleay, Lisa, Adelle and Stephen hope the community will show their support.
"It has been a long time since there was an event like this, and it's the perfect time for the community to show their support and inclusion for people with a disability," Lisa said.
"We are still looking for sponsors, so anybody interested in sponsoring these great events is encouraged to get in touch as soon as possible."
