The two sides split their meetings this season and Mustangs Under-18.5s coach Reuben Jones claims his side will win if they are able to stick to their strengths.
"The Pirates have a strong and big forward pack," Jones told the Argus.
"So our plan is to tire them out and use our outside men to go around them."
Jones admits the Mustangs would struggle if they attempted to match them in the middle of the field but he recognises they have the advantage on the flanks.

"We have sleek footed backrowers on the edge in Ivan Madden, Harold Thompson and Mckye Tucknott and if we give them early ball then they will try and link up with fullback Kaine Parkinson out the back," Jones said.
"Engaging our backs and giving them plenty of ball is going to be the key to victory."
The Under-18.5s match kicks off at 12.05pm, with the Mustangs first grade scheduled to begin at 3pm.
