The club winning the first grade major semi-final usually hosts the grand final. This has been Group Three policy since 2002. Minor premiers Macleay Valley will meet Wauchope in first grade on Sunday.
However, the grand finals may not be at Kempsey on Sunday August 25, even if the Mustangs win this weekend.
Group Three chairman Wayne Bridge confirmed there are some concerns over the facilities at Kempsey's Verge Street Oval along with the ground's capacity.
"We are worried about how this might impact on our gate,'' Mr Bridge said.
"So there's no guarantee we will play the grand finals there.''
Mr Bridge said the group has spoken to Macleay officials on the matter.
"They've accepted it, there's no dramas,'' he said.
"They also realise that the bigger the gate, the more prizemoney they get should they happen to win the premiership.''
Macleay, Wauchope, Wingham and Port City are the four remaining clubs in first grade.
Group Three had a great start to this year's semi-final series, with the gates up around $800 for both days last weekend when matches were played at Tuncurry and Wingham.
