The success comes one season after the Mustangs were forced to withdraw from the senior competition.
Mustangs' first grade locked up first place and a home major-semi final on Sunday August 11 with a 72-11 win over the Taree City Bulls.
Meanwhile the Under-18.5s, who had a bye on Sunday, clinched top spot as they have a superior points differential to the Old Bar Pirates, who are equal on competition points.
The fifth-placed reserve grade side booked a spot in the finals after they earned a 44-10 victory.
Macleay Valley first grade coach Russell Lardner is proud of the club's success but admits the eyes remain on the top prize.
"I think the success of the club this year when compared with last season speaks for itself," Lardner told the Argus.
"It's taken a lot of hard work and sacrifice from a lot of people but it has all been worth it.
"The season isn't over though and the major premiership is still our goal."
The first grade result was never in doubt as the Mustangs scored in the third minute of the game as Stephan Blair grabbed the first of his four tries.
Fullback Owen Blair bagged a hat-trick while centre Conrad Lardner crossed for a double.
Lardner claims the victory was close to a perfect performance and was pleased the side was able to turn things around after a disappointing defeat at the hands of Wauchope a week earlier.
"If we can play like that in the finals then we will be hard to beat," Lardner said.
"We cut out the stuff from our game which had been letting us down in recent weeks. We played as a team and for one another. All of the problems were fixed."
The Mustangs first grade and Under-18.5s sides have a bye this weekend and will take to the field in a grand final qualifier in a fortnight.
The reserve grade side will battle the Port Macquarie Sharks in an elimination final at Forster this Saturday.
