If successful the committee will install a basketball court in the Riverside Park in Smithtown.
"Smithtown Park is an amazing place for kids to gather and play in a safe environment but there is a lack of equipment for the over five-year-olds," president of the Smithtown Community and Development Committee Rebecca Box said.
The basketball court will provide a safe place for local kids to play and will provide opportunities for young people to get involved in physical activities through court games.
Three local projects have been lodged in the Kempsey Shire, they can be viewed on the My Community Website.
Go to https://mycommunityproject.service.nsw.gov.au/how-to-vote#1 before August 15 to help strengthen local communities.
