The minimum temperature reached on Tuesday May 28 was 1.5 degrees Celsius, recorded at the Kempsey Airport, and the lowest on record is 1.0 degrees Celsius, according to the Bureau of Meteorology (BOM).
The minimum temperature recorded this morning (Wednesday May 29) was 4.3 degrees Celsius.
Kempsey avoided the brunt of the cold as Port Macquarie shivered through -0.8 degrees Celsius this morning and -0.7 degrees Celsius yesterday morning, according to BOM.
Meanwhile South West Rocks woke to temperatures of 10 degrees Celsius and 10.9 degrees Celsius yesterday and this morning, respectively, according to BOM.
The lowest temperature recorded in Kempsey during May last year was 2.9 degrees Celsius, according to BOM.
Temperatures across NSW have plunged, as a cold front brings gusty winds from the south, where snow has fallen.

BOM has predicted the cold front moving north from the southern ocean will continue to bring a very cool and gusty change for at least the next two days.
However, BOM has forecasted warmer mornings as tomorrow will have a minimum of eight degrees Celsius, Friday a minimum of four degrees Celsius, Saturday returns to eight degrees Celsius before Sunday heats to 11 degrees Celsius.
