The film will screen in late May at the Central States International Film Festival in Rock Island, Illinois. The film has previously screened in New York, and twice in San Francisco, where is also won awards.
"This will make the fourteenth international film festival at which our film will have been screened," Mr Dockrill said.
"After last years' effort, touring ten countries, we decided to cut back on the travelling and the festivals and focus on our main aim which is to see the live show produced overseas. We are now out there pitching for major investment to achieve that goal."
While in the USA, the Dockrills will also screen their film at a special community event in Asheville in the Blue Ridge Mountains, North Carolina.
The film screened two weeks ago at the Adelaide Fringe Festival.
"Once again the audience loved it," Mr Dockrill said.
"We hope to bring Doctor Moron back to his home in Kempsey later this year for another screening for those who missed it or want to see it again."
