Regional Development Australia Mid North Coast (RDAMNC) and Regional Development Australia Northern Rivers (RDANR) are reaching out to North Coast businesses and industry to help identify what types of skill shortages exist across the region.
The North Coast Skills Audit follows on from the successful 2017 skills audit conducted by RDAMNC.
Last year's results showed that 50 per cent of respondents had unfulfilled skills levels across all sectors on the Mid North Coast region.
Key findings also revealed impacts on the future of business, and these included the need for a workforce that had the ability to use technology effectively, to innovate, and to respond to customer needs.
Another finding was the need for collaboration with education and training providers, to address the future education and training needs of each industry sector
"RDAMNC conducted the skills audit in 2018 and the results have been very useful for training companies, all levels of government and our own planning processes," RDAMNC Director Kerry Grace said.
"We look forward to partnering with RDA Northern Rivers to deliver this year's skills audit and get a better picture of skills across the region."
North Coast business and industries are encouraged to take the short Skill Audit Survey which will help identify any shortages and assist in the development effective, locally based policies and programs.
The survey closes April 28.
