Kempsey-Crescent Head have lifted the North Coast Surf Boat Series overall championship crown for the seventh straight year after producing a remarkable final round performance.

The local club finished the season in top spot in three divisions which helped lead them to a two point victory over Woolgoolga in the standings.
Surf boat captain Scott Edwards said the club was surprised when they heard they had retained the title.
"We were shocked, we didn't think we had done enough to win it," Edwards said.
"But to come away with the victory again was pretty special."
Kempsey-Crescent Head earned 651 points over the season while Woolgoolga finished on 649. The next best was Wauchope-Bonny Hills with 296.
The 160s Masters, who were undefeated for the entire series and have showcased their ability at a state and national level already this year, were main contributors to the championship.
They finished on top with a maximum 90 points, ahead of Woolgoolga on 77 in second.
In arguably the most tightly contested division, the Open Men's, the Kempsey-Crescent Head crew finished the season the strongest to earn a three-point victory over the second placed Woolgoolga crew.
The local club also earned the victory in the Whale Cup, which includes a crew of two men and two women, as they earned 67 points while Woolgoolga finished in second with 63.
The Open Women, Reserve Men and Masters 200s all finished in second position in their division.
While the majority of the crews competed in their final race of the season, the Masters 180s and Masters 240s crews will gear up again for the Australian Titles next week.
The Masters 180s will chase gold on Tuesday April 2 while the Masters 240s will be in action on Monday April 1.
After the Australian Titles, the surf boat crews will take a break until they return for the next season in September and Edwards said the club's door is always open.
