The South West Rocks Cricket Club's third grade player produced the best innings of his young career and it left captain Craig Monk in awe.
"Luke was like a man possessed, from the very first ball he dominated and was hitting them to all areas out of the middle of the bat," Monk said.
"He belted about five sixes and eight fours and was just making it look easy."
Monk credited fellow opening batsman Rhys Owens with providing the perfect cameo performance, which contributed to the 144 run partnership.
"It's our biggest partnership of the year. Rhys did a great job of realising Luke was in terrific form and getting him back on strike," Monk said.
Luke's impact on matches doesn't stop with the bat as the all-rounder is a lethal weapon with the ball too.
"Luke is also our strike bowler and I think he is our top wicket taker for the year," Monk said.
"He's a great all-rounder and does what he can to help the team win."
Monk claims Luke had been building towards the performance.
"Luke has been scoring well all year, he's our top run scorer and has recorded a couple of 40s and at least two 50s," he said.
Luke's century was the first for the club in any grade this season.
