Grace Ryan, Max Farrell, Jessica Grant, Adam Grant, Josie Charlton, Jake Worthing, Brielle Woodger, Rebecca Grant and Harry Askew made the trip south after qualifying for the prestigious carnival at the North Coast heats earlier this year.
Unfortunately Kolby Wood and Finn Askew were forced to miss the championships due to an illness.
The Kemspey representatives had great success in the highly competitive carnival, both individually and in the relays.
The 15-year-old and over girls medley relay team, which consisted of Grace, Josie, Jessica and Rebecca, smashed their personal best time on their way to earning a bronze medal.
The 13/14 boys freestyle and medley relay team earned fifth and recorded personal bests in both races.
Kempsey oldest competitor, Grace, 23, picked up two gold medals, a silver and two bronze, which Tony Hudson believes is a record haul for a local swimmer.
Max, 13, and Jessica, 18, earned three top 10 finishes while Adam, 14, and Josie, 15, each earned two top 10 finishes.
Kempsey Swimming Club committee member Simone Farrell claims the amazing results from the local swimmers is a great reward for hard work.
"This group of elite swimmers train at least 15 hours per week with Tony Hudson from Huddo’s Swim & Fitness at the Kempsey Pool," Farrell said.
"Our swimmers are a dedicated bunch who have reaped the rewards of their hard work in this incredibly competitive sport."
There were 73 clubs from all over NSW and ACT who competed at Sydney Olympic Park Aquatic Centre for the rights to call themselves the NSW Country Champion. The Country Championships excludes only the Sydney Metropolitan areas.
