O’shea Tyreman, Timothy Bull, Raymond Chapman, Tyrell Dungay and Bailey Thompson lined up for the Under-16s, which drew 12-all against the Parramatta Eels, and contributed to overcoming a six-point half-time deficit.
O’shea, who played on the wing, was safe all day with his kick returns and also had the goal kicking duties, which included landing the game-tying conversion from the sidelines with minimal time left on the clock.
Five-eighth Timothy was light on his feet and dangerous with the ball throughout the game. The influential player recorded two try assists and darted across the line but unfortunately had the ball knocked from his hands before he was able to plant it.
Raymond, who played hooker, took advantage of quick play the balls and contributed to the forwards getting a strong roll on.
Tyrell, who also played on the wing, showcased his superb footwork to cross the line for a try from a long ball off Kempsey teammate Timothy. Tyrell was dangerous on the edges with every touch.
Centre Bailey had a strong game on the defensive end. The junior produced multiple great one-on-one tackles and didn’t let the Parramatta attack past him once.
Meanwhile Kaine Parkinson and Miles Monta took to the field for the Under-18s team, which drew 16-all with the Eels.
Kaine lined up in his preferred position of fullback and returned the ball well all day and knocked over two conversions while Miles, who plays on the wing, had a great game and crossed for a try.
Ethan Thompson was unavailable to play for the Under-18s side against the Eels but is hopeful he will take his place in the team this weekend.
The two Bulldogs teams will take on the Central Coast Roosters in Wyong this Saturday.
