Ho, ho, ho they went – from toddlers and canines through to those doing their best at adulting even while dressed as St Nicholas.
There were literally hundreds of people dressed for great success – not sure what the collective noun might be, but let’s call them a sleigh of Santas.
And slay they did. It was a party atmosphere on the banks at Killick Creek, as a DJ pumped the beats, and the crowd readied for the mass paddle along the lagoon.

Locals were there of course for the last surf before Christmas, but so too the perennial horde of visitors, from as far away as Victoria, Sydney and Queensland.
