A MAN has been charged after an elderly woman was allegedly robbed at South Kempsey.

Just after midnight on Saturday November 24, police were called to Middleton St after reports an 85-year-old woman had been robbed.
Following inquiries, officers from Mid North Coast Police District attended a house at West Kempsey, on Friday.
On arrival a man was allegedly seen running from the property.

Police searched the area and a short time later the man was allegedly found hiding under a house on Gordon Nixon Ave.
The 22-year-old South Kempsey man was arrested and taken to Kempsey Police Station where he was charged with steal from person and an unrelated larceny matter.
He was refused bail and was scheduled to appear at Port Macquarie Bail Court today.
