Josh has been racing karts for the past six years and earned outstanding results on a national level.
However, the St Paul’s College student is prepared to take the next step and enter a class which is rapidly growing.
Josh will race in the Queensland series for the first 18-months, as the age restriction in NSW is 16.

The Year 8 student will begin preparations and is hoping to gain plenty of knowledge when competing.
“Over the next couple of months he will be doing plenty of practice and driver training at various race tracks so he can get accustomed to the vehicle,” Josh’s father Brett said.
“In his first year in the series, he aims to get a feel of racing in the class and learn off the more experienced adults that he will be competing against.”
While Josh is excited about the step up, he admitted he will miss being behind the wheel of a kart.
“Josh said he will miss sprint kart racing but it’s time to move up and he wants to start car racing young.”
Josh’s racing expertise led him to pick up multiple top six results in the National Kart Series and earned many state and regional podiums.
Josh is hopeful he will continue to progress up the motorsport ranks and will move into higher classes such as sports sedans or open wheelers.
The first round of the CAMS Queensland Series kicks off in March next year.
