Triston spoke first hand about his own experiences and Kempsey South Public School principal Andrew Kuchling said Triston inspired the students with a positive message about focusing on education.
“Triston pointed out that it’s the hard work he puts into training multiple times each day and always being highly focused on living a healthy lifestyle that has allowed him to live his dream of representing Australia in Hong Kong, London and Japan already this year,” Mr Kuchling said.
“His important message though, which teachers all agreed with, was the importance of education because no matter how fantastic you are on the football field, everybody needs to plan for the future.”
Triston is a walking example of maintaining a focus on education as despite signing a deal with the Australian Rugby Union, Triston began studying teaching at University in his first year since completing High School.
