South West Rocks had already put the first innings victory in the books, but they consolidated their lead their win by recording the outright victory after Nulla declared at 4/221 with a 167-run lead.
Nulla failed in their bid to topple South West Rocks, as Dylan Mann (38), Liam Askew (31), Cyril Davis (29) and Jesse Meehan (48) combined to help the Rocks reach 168.
The outright victory lifts South West Rocks into second place on the ladder and only one competition point behind leaders Nulla, who were previously undefeated this season.
It now becomes a three-horse race for the title, after Rovers secured the outright victory over Stuarts Point/Eungai on Saturday. SPECC were forced to follow on after they scored 91 runs in response to Rovers’ 288 first innings score. SPECC reached 118 in their second innings and suffered a 79 run loss.
