The punnet of berries were bought last Thursday, with the pin not being discovered until Friday when the individual who purchased the strawberries was having lunch.
The pin has since been taken and is undergoing forensic examination.
This comes after the arrest of a 50-year-old woman yesterday following an investigation into the alleged contamination of strawberries in Queensland in September.
Numerous needles and pins have been found in the fruit across the country since September.
People are urged to check their fruit before it’s consumed as there is still a risk that it could be contaminated.
