South West Rocks have bounced back in emphatic fashion to take a first innings lead into the second day of their clash with powerhouse Nulla in the Macleay Valley Cricket Association first grade competition.

South West Rocks’ bowling attack dismissed Nulla for 106 runs, as Daniel Tinlin starred with the ball as he finished with figures of 6/20 off eight overs.
Nulla’s opening batsmen Angus Crotty (56) and Corey Crotty (23) set a nice platform to build on but the remaining Nulla batsmen failed to surpass single digits.
South West Rocks reached 160 in response, with Liam Askew (30), Dylan Mann (23), David Hobday (19), Jesse Meehan (28) and Tinlin (23) contributing towards the score.
South West Rocks were dismissed at the end of the 46th over and they will take a 54-run lead into the second innings which will commence this Saturday.
It’s a big turnaround for the Rocks, who struggled against the Rovers in their two-day match in round three.
