Nulla started the game strongly, picking up the wickets of dangerous batsmen Callan McKiernan, Jye Woodger, Ben Dowling and Jackson Korn cheaply.
Lachlan Dowling (47) attempted to swing the momentum back in favour of Rovers, but the side struggled to score runs as Ethan Dowling (16) and Matt Scott (16) were the next best batsmen.
Rovers were dismissed for 124 in the 33rd over and Nulla wasted little time in surpassing the total, as they reached 128 runs with 19 overs remaining.
Christopher White (65) and Liam Taylor (33), who both finished unbeaten, did the majority of the damage with the bat.
“A much improved bowling and fielding performance went a long way to achieving the victory,” Taylor told the Argus.
“Each bowler took two wickets and we caught well.
“Getting Callan early was a key moment and Rovers never really wrestled that momentum back and it felt like we were on top from then.”
The victory for Nulla showed a massive improvement in their killer instinct, as in the past they have allowed their opponents back into the game, whereas against Rovers on Saturday the door never opened.
Taylor credited the new recruits for their ability to put the game to bed.
“I am happy with the intent we have shown so far this season,” Taylor said.
“To chase the total down at six runs an over was pleasing, as I think you have to attack in this competition.
“The difference this season is we should have the batting line up to do it.”
The victory lifts Nulla into fifth position as their record improves to two wins from three games.
Meanwhile Rovers remain winless from their three games and are stranded in eighth position.
They face Taree West on the road while Nulla face off with Wingham this Saturday.
