Council’s Coordinator of Communications and Community, Maya Spannari, said that the intent for developing a new community events calendar was to provide a one stop shop connecting the community to the stunning range of events, service programs and activities available to residents in the Macleay.
“Hey Hey Macleay” will help the community to access and promote local Macleay based events such as markets, interagency and network meetings, community days, library activities, local festivals and music events, regional sporting events, arts and cultural activities and exhibitions, workshops, farm tours and activities happening in rural halls,” she said.
“It will bring community event information into one easy, free to use space that is engaging and interactive for the community. Council hopes that “Hey Hey Macleay” will become a one stop shop for community to find out what is going on across the Macleay Valley.”
Council is now inviting community groups, services and organisations to enter their events to the site and we are encouraging everyone to have a look at “Hey Hey Macleay”.
More events will be loaded daily and council events and meetings will also be loaded to this page including community catch-ups, council meeting dates, mobile library van locations and library events.
