The top cricket players in the Macleay are set to face a tougher test as the Macleay Valley Cricket Association’s first grade competition begins the first of three rounds of two-day matches this Saturday.

Each side will play each other in the two-day format once before the competition has two scheduled one-day matches ahead of the Christmas and New Year break.
Nulla, who defeated Rovers in their first game of the season last week, will face off with Stuarts point/Eungai at Stuarts point this Saturday.
Meanwhile South West Rocks, who earned a convincing win over Stuarts Point/Eungai last Saturday, will battle Rovers at the Athletics oval on Saturday.
The two-day matches will be held over two weeks, with the second day of play to be held the following Saturday.
South West Rocks currently sit on top of the table after one round of play.
The opening round of the competition was washed out.
Rain is forecast for this Saturday but it shouldn’t be enough to disrupt play.
