A MAN and a woman are in hospital after being stabbed at a home in South West Rocks today, police said.

About 11.30am today (Wednesday 24 October 2018), emergency services were called to a home on Arthur Street at South West Rocks, following reports two people had been injured.
A 66-year-old woman and a 78-year-old man were treated at the scene by paramedics, before being taken to Kempsey Hospital in a stable condition.
Officers from Mid North Coast Police District have launched an investigation and established a crime scene.
As inquiries continue, police are appealing for public assistance to help locate a man, who police warn may be armed.
He is described as being of Caucasian appearance, aged in his mid-30s, about 175cm tall, and with an athletic build.
He was last seen wearing a light-coloured bandana-style headband, a loose dark-coloured coat, no shoes and carrying a khaki-coloured bag.
The man was last seen heading west on Arthur Street on foot.
Anyone who sights the man is urged not to approach him, but to contact police immediately.
