According to the Bureau of Meteorology, there is an 80 per cent chance of rain in our region, most likely during this afternoon and evening.
There is also a chance of a thunderstorm tonight.
The forecast is for a deepening situation tomorrow – with a 90 per cent chance of rain, and a possibility for a thunderstorm.
The bureau expects large and powerful surf conditions in the afternoon and evening, which will be hazardous for coastal activities such as rock fishing, swimming and surfing.
Conditions are expected to be clearing over the weekend, with a 70 per cent chance of showers on Saturday and a 60 per cent chance on Sunday.
