Locals enjoyed good food, drinks and live entertainment in celebration of the Hotel’s makeover.
Owner Dave Richards said the renovations were undertaken due to the standard that is now expected from hotels.
“People are now looking for more from hotels, with food being the primary focus. We wanted to update our menu and make the hotel more inviting for locals,” he said.
The nine-month renovations include function rooms for private hire, a beer garden and different sections within the hotel to enjoy food and drinks.
“The beer garden has been a complete overhaul, and it’s great because it can be enjoyed in both summer and winter. It’s also a family-friendly area, we kept that in mind when designing the new sections of the hotel,” Mr Richards said.
The hotel still offers it’s famous Hong Kong Chinese Restaurant dishes along with all of the pub favourites.
“We’re able to cater for more people and offer more variety in terms of food choices. We felt we needed to add pub classics and healthy options,” Mr Richards said.
Mr Richards said the feedback from the community over the past week has been positive.
“It’s been really well received by the community. We’ve gotten a lot of positive comments about the menu and changes in the hotel.”
