FAWNA’s Bird Co-ordinators are hoping more people will join the group to help share the wildlife rescue and caring load.
“All our carers work from their own homes and we are short of volunteers in all the FAWNA areas – Port Macquarie-Hastings, Kempsey, and MidCoast” Southern Area Bird Co-ordinator, Ms Whitwell said.
If you see a vulnerable animal in distress, please don’t hesitate to contact the FAWNA Rescue Hotline on 6581 4141, it operates 24/7, and the operators are always eager to help. For more details on how you can help or for more information on the induction course visit the FAWNA website at www.fawna.org.au.
