The attack came after Mr Colton refused to allow the teenagers to participate in the tennis training as he witnessed them light a fire in the bush land adjacent to the tennis courts.
“I saw the kids walking down the street and all of a sudden big pieces of rock started landing on the courts in between us all, luckily missing us,” Mr Colton said.
“These rocks were big and jagged and could have killed someone. It was only luck that they missed us all.”
Mr Colton’s car was also damaged, as rocks had been used to chip the rear side window, and the paintwork on his vehicle was also damaged in numerous places.
At the time of the incident, two parents and two small children were on the courts being coached.
Mr Colton refused to allow the teenagers to participate in the tennis coaching as he allegedly witnessed them start fires in the weeks leading up to the incident.
“I saw these kids light a fire in the area between the courts and the Kempsey Heights Bowling Club,” Mr Colton said.
