It was a lifelong dream achieved for Huxley, who overcame a strong field of 39 competitors and led the event from the outset.
“I am very happy with the results, it’s something I have always wanted to achieve, since I was watching as a kid,” Huxley said.
“My car held up well, it took a punishing all weekend and it’s still in good condition.
“A huge thank you has to go to my sponsors for all their help; Redpoint Kempsey, Macleay Valley Automotive, Julius Tuning, RaceTrans and Marshy Tyres and Mechanical.”
Huxley won all three heats and finished with an overall win of six minutes and 22 seconds.
The runner-up was David Spokes and Glen Hayes ahead of third place finishes Jay Neate and James Milligan.
Fourth place was also a local team made up of Ritchard and Terese Wilton.
The dusty conditions made driving difficult on Saturday but the rain on Sunday played into the hands of Huxley.
“The rain made for very good conditions as my past drifting skills helped,” Huxley said.
“There was some high speed slides.”
The event ran smoothly but competitors skills were tested.
Twelve of the 39 starters completed the full race distance of 16 laps of the 17.5km track.
KMORC would like to thank the land owners.
